Essential Functions:
- Monitors the admission of fair patrons, guests, staff, exhibitors and contractors for proper ticket or credential, before allowing them to enter.
- Provides frontline bag inspection for guests and staff by identifying dangerous and/or non-permitted items, and ensures these prohibited items are not brought through the gates, but are properly secured and/or discarded.
- Operates ticket scanning equipment and provides guidance for other employees in its proper use.
- Provides excellent customer service to Fair patrons by answering questions and providing information.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age; employees assigned to bag inspection must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills a must.
- Excellent teamwork skills required.
- Must be able to quickly learn the layout of the fairgrounds and general fair information.
- Must be available to work 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
