What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Desk Technician position at OC Federal Credit Union?
Job Summary: Provides support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues. Identifies, researches and resolves the most complex technical problems.
Position requires hours on Saturday morning.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Responsible to address help desk tickets for all employees.
· Responds to telephone, email and on verbal requests for technical support.
· Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools.
· Coordinates with other team members or specialists to resolve an IT issue.
· Create new accounts for all new hires or current staff.
· Gain remote access to computers in branches to provide assistance.
· Keep up to date on current security threats and landscapes and address vulnerabilities as they present themselves.
· Help deploy new projects and help with projects that are being worked on until finished.
· Always be willing to assist every user with their IT needs.
· May be responsible for the resolution of escalated issues of higher difficulty.
· Other duties as necessary.

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma some college IT course/certifications preferred.
- Must be able to work at all 5 branch locations.
- Extensive knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems and printers; broad knowledge of functions of the company and evolving desktop processing needs of departments and individual users; general knowledge of PC networks and network operating systems .
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee must maintain emotional control under stress, and occasionally work prolonged and/or irregular hours. Frequent branch-wide travel is also required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The work environment is a standard office setting including standard office equipment (fax, copier, phone, computer, 10-key, etc.). The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
