The starting hourly rate range for this position is $32.17 to $40.17 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.
The Video Technician supports live event video needs at Honda Center, including internal events. This role requires knowledge of analog and digital video technology, industry standards, signal flow, troubleshooting, and live event production.
Responsibilities
- Assist Video Engineer with preproduction / edit facility needs, event day video production needs, and overall operation of video control room
- Apply knowledge of HD / SD and digital / analog video standards, video conversion processes, and signal flow to troubleshoot equipment failures and signal routing issues
- Provide technical support and connectivity to broadcast trucks as needed
- Solder, terminate cables, and utilize common electronics industry tools, including a multimeter
- Troubleshoot in-house presentation and multi-media resources and equipment
- Create and maintain PM and repair logs as requested by Video Engineer
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Daktronics scoreboard hardware, video matrix systems, and Daktronics software
- Work with outside entities, including promoters, vendors, and business partners
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
