What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marina Help position at Occoquan Harbour Marina?
Marine Mechanic or Helper Wanted – Trade Tires for Propellers!
Tired of fixing the same cars in a hot garage? Ever thought about working near the water, where your “shop” has a waterfront view? We’re a family-owned and operated marina looking for a mechanically inclined person to join our crew as a Marine Mechanic. Don’t worry if you haven’t worked on boats before—we’re willing to train you! If you can turn a wrench and know your way around an engine, you’ll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing:
Swapping tires? Nope. Try rotating propellers.
Checking oil? Still a thing, just in boat engines instead of cars.
Troubleshooting? Always—because boats like to keep us on our toes!
Why You’ll Love It Here:
You’ll work near the water every day—better than staring at warehouse walls.
Yes, it’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter—but at least you’re not stuck in a cubicle.
We work Tuesday - Saturday, 9-5—which means you get a weekday off when everyone else is stuck at work.
Year-round employment—we keep our team busy all year long!
If you have mechanical ability, a good attitude, and like the idea of turning wrenches in a marina instead of a garage, we want to hear from you!
