Job Responsibilities:
- Participation in daily operations of an on-site clinic at a client’s site
- Providing exceptional service to Occucare’s clients and employees
- Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses
- Building and maintaining internal team relationships
- Support for onsite employee health and wellness effort
- Documentation of care
- Case Management
- Medical charting
- Conducts a careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms of illness/injury and assists other medical personnel as necessary.
- Administers prompt and efficient basic life support care within the limits of the certification and in accordance with approved protocols.
- Must become knowledgeable of contractor’s protocols, operational procedures and safety policies.
- Assist with Return to work / Fitness for duty evaluations
- Ancillary medical surveillance services
- Administrative activities
- Act as liaison for Occucare International Medical Control and off-site medical facilities as needed.
- Emergency Response Planning
- Disaster Response and Recovery Planning
- DOT urine specimen collection (Site Specific)
- AED program coordination, and Blood Borne Pathogens classes (Site Specific)
- Perform drug screen collections (Site Specific)
- Perform breath alcohol testing (Site Specific)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
- Ability to assist in lifting and moving of a patient as needed
- Ability to stand and/or walk 25%-50% of working hours
- Ability to climb ladders to 30 feet
- Ability to perform basic rescue functions and emergency medical tasks
Position Requirements:
- Valid National Registry or State EMT/Paramedic certification
- Current CPR/BLS
- Excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suites, Office 365 and other basic computer software
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Willingness to perform above and beyond job requirements
- Passionate about patient care
Preferred Experience and Certification:
- You are comfortable working in a construction environment
- You have some familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
- You have a minimum of 1-year experience in emergency medicine, critical care, clinical care or Industrial Medical Response
- Possess OSHA10 or OSHA30 Certified (preferred)
- Specimen collections experience (preferred)
- Breath Alcohol Test
- DOT Urine Collection
- CPR/First Aid Instructor
- Bilingual/Spanish
