Clinical Medical Assistant

Occupational Health Associates want to welcome you to join our team! Full time 40 hours a week M-F, (8:00 am-4:30 p.m.), no weekends, paid holidays. Occupational Health is a multidisciplinary field concerned with the safety and welfare of people in the work place. The ideal candidate willing to join our team would provide day-to-day administrative and clinical assistance to the medical staff with examinations and treatment of patients.
The Medical Assistant must have a basic understating of administrative and clinical tasks, are willing to learn to perform a variety of skills, and be able to work independently. They should have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written language, with excellent interpersonal skills.
Major tasks and responsibilities: would include employment exams, IE: performing vitals, vision screening, trained to perform audiograms, PFTs, EKG’s drug & alcohol testing, immunizations, and respiratory fit testing. Assist providers with minor office procedures, responsible for cleaning of exam rooms, equipment, and maintaining calibration of instruments. Maintain quality of care, safety, proper documentation of patient health records, data input and tracking in electronic medical records. Other tasks would also include clerical support, answering phones, and assisting with scheduling appointments when needed.
The Medical Assistant would maintain patient confidentially with patients and employees. The Medical Assistant must be able and willing to work as part of a “team”, backing up and working with other staff as necessary. They must be honest, dependable, a self-starter, and take initiative. Must have a friendly attitude, and represent OHA in a positive manor.
Compensation is competitive based on qualifications and experience.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent certification course.
Occupational health experience is preferred.
