What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program Supervisor position at Occupational Training Center?
- Interview, hire and evaluate program staff in accordance with OTC Services’ policies and procedures.
- Manage and ensure proper staffing ratios. Maintain staff timesheets and ensure that all staff receives mandated training.
- Directly supervise are all staff members, complete performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and training.
- Provide ongoing supervision of staff and oversee the daily operations to ensure that programming meets the standards and expectations of the OTC, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Medicaid guidelines.
- Coordinate Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and attend the ISP, Team and other important participant and program meetings.
- Oversee the proper administration of medication, including compliance with all procedures and recordkeeping. Maintain medication, MARs, and medical records for each participant.
- Record and monitor daily attendance records, center logs and other information as required. Record and certify transportation units and daily attendance in Therap for each participant.
- Manage and coordinate all financial operations related to the CAC program, including managing the allotted budget, requesting and coding purchase orders, submitting requisitions, and managing the petty cash funds.
- Coordinate Participants admissions and discharges from the program. Complete the appropriate paperwork and notify the required parties.
- Coordinate meetings with Interdisciplinary Teams (IDT) as needed to address the participant’s needs and individual programming objectives. Ensure that the participants are provided the opportunity to set and obtain their own objectives/goals.
- Offer and encourage person center planning by ensuring that participants are given choice for programming and community outings based on their wants, needs and abilities. Ensure that programming is offered and adjusted as needed to meet the needs of all participant’s functioning levels.
- Organize and oversee community outings to ensure each participant has to opportunity to participate in several activities a week. Encourage community participation by planning a variety of educational and recreational outings based on the participant’s choice.
- Review consumer Daily Therap notes to ensure that staff complies with DDD procedures and that paperwork is maintained properly.
- Handle all transportation matters and emergencies that may arise, in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with all OTC Services and DDD policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring proper notifications as required under Danielle’s Law and SK Law in the case of medical emergencies and participant injuries.
- Transport participants to and from their residence and various community outings as needed.
- Completes internal inspections of program and client paperwork and facility health and safety walk-throughs. Prepares and submits all needed reports accurately in a timely manner.
- Continuously analyze program risks and develop corrective plans to avoid potential incidents. Report any issues immediately to the Coordinator of Day Program Services.
- Serve as the primary contact for support coordinators, program referrals, families, guardians and participants. Cooperate with all state and federal agency representatives during inspections, investigations or other required meetings and inquiries.
- Review Therap documentation daily to ensure that staff members comply with all documentation guidelines.
- Introduce new and innovative programming to maximize growth and development of the participants.

Salary : $56,000
