Job Overview
As an Installation Technician at TSUNAMI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment of our PTP networking equipment and solutions. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the installation, configuration, and training processes, including running CAT5/6 through buildings to ensure reliable network connectivity. You will work directly with customers to deliver top-quality service and resolve any technical challenges that may arise. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication to ensure that installations go smoothly and that customers are equipped to use their new systems effectively.
Duties
- Successfully deploying Precision Time Protocol (PTP) networking equipment
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and training customers in our technology protocols
- Running CAT5/6 through buildings
- Delivering top-notch customer service and assisting customers directly with any arising issues
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IP security cameras and networking equipment is highly preferred
- Electrical knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools including ladders
- Effectively handling operating machinery such as large trucks, trailers, bucket trucks, etc.
- Must possess advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to facilitate solutions quickly and independently
Qualifications
- Knowledge surrounding general IT and experience with IP security cameras/networking equipment
- Willingness to travel 75% of the time
- Ability to work in both outdoor and indoor environments
- Always maintain a professional appearance | you’ll often be the first representative to interact with a customer, setting the tone for the business & training experience
- Demonstrate strong communication & customer service skills
