Ocean Aero is an award-winning US company that has created the world’s first and only environmentally powered Autonomous Underwater and Surface Vehicle (AUSV.) Ocean Aero’s autonomous marine robot, the Triton, operates exclusively on wind and solar energy and performs long endurance missions on the ocean surface with the ability to dive below the waves for underwater operations. The Triton uses a complex array of custom-built sensors, marinized electronics and software systems to operate, sense and communicate in the environment.
Role Description :
The Marketing Communications Director will create, coordinate, and develop positive branding and collateral for Ocean Aero. This will include creating print and digital content to promote all communications including brand development, social media presence, and external promotion.

As an early member of the team, you will take ownership of the product, and your actions will directly contribute to the success of the company. This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Aero.
Role Responsibilities :
- Position Ocean Aero’s brand and go-to-market strategy focused on new customer acquisition and outstanding customer experience
- Promote Ocean Aero’s value proposition, story, leaders, business initiatives and outcomes – across all external channels
- Design, create, and produce visual concepts to be used in digital and print materials
- Branding, conference management, collateral acquisition, aesthetics of brand inclusive of apparel infrastructure of events
- Identify and maximize high-impact opportunities to raise awareness of Ocean Aero, including public relations, thought leadership opportunities, and effectively promoting Ocean Aero over social media
- Lead Ocean Aero’s external communications and overall social media presence & activities across multiple channels
- Identify and incorporate feedback from Ocean Aero’s external stakeholder groups on Ocean Aero’s brand messaging, positioning, and voice
- Develop the company’s differential value propositions across target sectors and translate them into sales collateral
- Lead the TAM and SAS evaluation of markets domestically and internationally to help formulate capital allocation for commercial deployment
- Assess competitor brand positioning and producing exciting, fresh content for Ocean Aero
- Further develop the building and maintaining of a positive brand
- Champion the latest marketing trends and technologies to support go-to-market efforts
- Track and evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated goals and report on results
- Develops and adheres to communications budget
- Support Commercial team and Executive staff on external facing customer activities
