Ocean Casino is holding a Hiring Event for Seasonal BARTENDERS and Seasonal BARPORTERS. We will hold interviews on Thursday, (May 1st) from 10:00am to 1:00 pm.
****Interviews will be held at the Human Resources (Recruitment Office). Parking is available in our customer garage located on Connecticut Avenue. You may park on the 8th, 9th, or 10th floor on “Ocean side” and take the elevator to the ground floor where you will enter through the employee entrance. Once inside, you will make a left and head towards the Security Podium for check-in.**
About the Role
The Seasonal Bartender will prepare ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients.
Position Responsibilities
- Bartenders will always comply with and enforce alcohol awareness laws and procedures
- Adhere to established procedures, departmental guidelines and policies at all times, including but not limited to guest service, cashiering, portion control, sanitation and organization
- Maintain established company uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized bar at all times. Side work, cleaning, and stocking duties must be completed as assigned and also completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner
- Recognize and correctly make a variety of beverages, adhere to recipes and specified measured pouring portions with appropriate garnish, accurate pricing, use of proper glassware and proper wine service
- Knowledge of operation and cleaning of various equipment including but not limited to frozen beverage machine, dishwasher, ice machine, pouring gun, and other related beverage equipment
About the Role
The Seasonal Barporter is responsible for maintaining a stocked, clean and organized work area at all times.
Position Responsibilities
- To maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and fully stocked front bar, service bar, or other assigned area during any given shift providing support to the service staff servicing our guests
- Adhere to established company and Departmental procedures, guidelines and policies at all times, including but not limited to guest service, warehouse/requisition procedures, sanitation, safety, and organization
- Maintain stocked, clean, organized work areas (bars, storage areas, etc.) at all times
- Perform the following cleaning tasks as scheduled in assigned areas including but not limited to: glass washer, ice machine, walls, stainless steel, floors, drains, all trash/recycling receptacles and related equipment, towel dispenser, etc
- Must have basic knowledge of various cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals and be able to differentiate between various cleaning products and chemicals for their proper intended use
- Maintain cleanliness of the stock, sweep and mop floors, trash removal, empty container removal, replenish empty bottles and manager notification for ordering
- Trash/recyclable removal, proper transport, disposal, and cleaning of receptacles and other related equipment
- Responsible for warewashing and proper handling and storage of these and related items
- Delivering of supplies, liquor, beer, ice, requisitions, etc. must be completed as assigned and also completed in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner
