Description
Provides overall safety and direct supervision of children in our seasonal summer camp program. Needs to demonstrate the ability to be a positive role model, with the ability to provide leadership and stability to our summer camp community. Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
Qualifications
- Supervise, manage, and be responsible for the safety and supervision of campers
- Planning and implementation of the Summer Camp program.
- Communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents.
-Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
-Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medial and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
- Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA values.
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings.
- Must undergo and pass a background check.
- Must be fingerprinted, if over the age of 18
-Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.
