What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waitstaff position at Ocean Dunes Inc?
Follows proper and complete uniform policy and is ready for scheduled shifts.

Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions.*

Writes order on check and enters order into POS system.*

Serves food from the kitchen in a courteous and timely manner.*

Observes customers to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed.*

Total bill and present to guests.*

Cleans, organizes and maintains assigned stations and all services areas prior to, during and after meal time rush.*

Applies knowledge of full menu and other information such as Company promotions and events.*

Uses suggestive selling techniques to offer food specials, menu items, and other promotions.*

Communicates all concerns to management including issues with health, sanitation, staff, inventory and guests.

Cross-serves and assists team members as needed.

Report any customer concerns directly to management.

Completes opening and closing duties in accordance with approved procedures. (See List)*

Communicates any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.*

Manage the sale, service and consumption of alcohol in accordance with company policy.

Attends Restaurant meetings and training sessions as requested.*

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment

High school diploma

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely fashion

Knowledge of how to operate a point-of-sale system

Able to handle money accurately; displays basic math and reading skills

Able to perform high quality work with minimal supervision/direction

Can lift 30 pounds or more; ability to walk and stand for long periods of time

Has a positive attitude and can work within a team alongside bussers, cooks, and other staff
