Summer Dock Attendant – Boston Yacht Haven | Boston Harbor
Looking for an unforgettable summer job in Boston? Want to spend your days on the water, meet awesome people, and be part of a tight-knit, hardworking team? Boston Yacht Haven is hiring Seasonal Dock Attendants to join us for the 2025 boating season (May/June through September/October).
This isn’t your average summer gig. If you’re smart, reliable, take pride in your work, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves (or get a little wet), we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be the face of our marina—welcoming boaters from all over the world, supporting marina operations, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and fun environment.
Your daily vibe might include:
Greeting and assisting guests as they arrive and depart by boat
Handling dock lines and helping tie up vessels (yes, you’ll get your hands dirty—and salty)
Performing dock walks, daily maintenance, meter readings, and general clean-up
Keeping the property looking sharp—from the docks to the lounge to the locker rooms
Helping with pump-outs, equipment upkeep, and fueling operations (we’ll train you!)
Being a reliable, professional, and positive teammate every day
What We’re Looking For:

Must-haves:
Friendly, professional demeanor and good communication skills
Willingness to learn marina procedures, rates, and safety protocols
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically active work in all weather
Comfortable using radios, phones, and basic tools
Availability on weekends and holidays (we work when the boats come in!)
Strong swimmer
Prior marina/boating experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll train the right person
