Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, performing various tests, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including administration of medications, immunizations, and referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Maintain professional attire and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Document patient information, including medical history, vital signs, and test results, in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Assist patients with education on healthy lifestyle choices, smoking cessation, and disease management.
- Perform various tests, such as urinalysis, pregnancy tests, and vision and hearing tests, and document results in the EMR.
- Monitor patient flow and assist with preparation of examination rooms and patients for exams.
- Administer vaccines according to policy and document information in the EMR.
- Enter patient data and vaccine information in the New Jersey Immunization Information System (NJIIS) Registry.
- Maintain accurate temperature logs for refrigerator and freezer thermometers and ensure vaccine and medication safety.
- Clean refrigerators monthly and maintain up-to-date cleaning logs.
- Utilize time management skills and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide input to the Director of Nursing on policy development and implementation.
- Participate in morning huddles to coordinate clinical activities and record information discussed.
- Display a respectful and caring attitude towards patients at all times.
- Adhere to Corporate Compliance policies and report any patient or staff issues to the Director of Nursing, Chief Medical Officer, and Practice Site Manager.
