Role Summary
This position is responsible to create, maintain, investigate, negotiate, and settle cargo claims presented against ONE and ensures that the claims processes are handled in an efficient manner. Associate will also handle third-party recovery claims. Position will work directly with Claims Manager, Supervisor, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to help resolve claims issues.
Additional Responsibilities
A minimum of 2 years of work experience and
1 year of claim adjuster or industry experience

Bachelor’s degree is required

This position is responsible to create, maintain, investigate, negotiate, and settle cargo claims presented against ONE and ensures that the claims processes are handled in an efficient manner. Additional Responsibilities
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims on best terms available to ONE and in accordance with contract terms, liability limitations, and liability exemptions.
- Maintain documentation and communication with Protection and Indemnity Insurers (Clubs)
- Pursue recovery against 3 rd parties under liability or contracts, whenever possible
- Accurately maintain and update multiple databases to ensure proper documentation is analyzed to submit claims and recover funds
- Work closely with personnel in other departments for assistance in the claims area
- Process payment requests, funds transfers, and invoicing to process and collect payments and collections
- Perform other duties on as needed basis
- Ability to take initiative and adapt to a quickly changing work environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and self-motivated
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in all situations
- Experience with specialized computer systems to monitor and manage claims is a plus
- Excellent systems skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Gmail
