Role Summary
Responsible for supporting the senior manager of vessel operations. Implementing and executing the global operational plans for short-, medium- & long-term needs.
Primarily responsible for oversight of vessel scheduling and operations for Premier Alliance North American controlled services and vessels calling on the PS and PN services.Responsible for cost minimization and evaluation related to vessel scheduling including bunker cost, terminal standby/deadtime, and other vessel schedule-related expenses. Back-up to Operational Managers whose primary duties include PA EC and Non-PA services. Creates/revises the procurement policies and keeps up to date with the company guidelines and compliance requirements. Responsible for management of and/or administrative support for various marine programs including marine safety, regulatory compliance, certain environmental programs including CARB, damage prevention, and emergency response. Responsible for cost minimization and evaluation related to vessel scheduling including bunker cost, terminal standby/deadtime, and other vessel schedule-related expenses.

Additional Responsibilities
- Monitors and reports on service quality and addresses performance concerns with suppliers.
- Closely collaborates with the various stow planner offices/leadership in developing the marine product and policies, overseeing marine vendors, and the daily execution of marine operations.
- Close collaboration with Premier Alliance partners, monitor their schedules and operational performance, and handle day-to-day RCC issues.
- Completes performance appraisals as required under company guidelines.
- Responsible and accountable for all employees reporting directly to this position and for ensuring company policy is communicated and followed.
