About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Intermodal Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our intermodal trailers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and detailed inspections on intermodal trailers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
- Replace or repair brakes, suspensions, tires, and other trailer components.
- Conduct welding and fabrication as required.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and departments to ensure timely service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a trailer technician, preferably with intermodal or refrigerated trailers.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
