Pricing Analyst, NA Export Commodity
Role Summary :
Reports to NA Export Commodity Marketing Supervisor. Responsible for front-line execution of the NA Export marketing and yield management strategies through pricing activity, regional NA Export target monitoring, customer performance evaluation and service contract maintenance.
Additional Responsibilities :
Negotiate and maintain ONE NA Export Commodity service contracts
Assist in administration of guideline rates in coordination with NA Marketing Management
Produce, maintain and analyze departmental reports and statistics
Monitor and act to eliminate negative margin cargo
Monitor, measure and take corrective action for the assigned commodity performance; this requires communication of corrective action to the NA regional sales staff when necessary, including monitoring and proactively addressing poor customer results
Direct regional sales teams in creation and execution of promotional cargo opportunities to meet business plan
Address BL rating issues with relevant documentation teams in North America and Overseas.
Provide assistance to customer service, documentation and operations teams for interpretation of tariffs and service contracts / rate agreements
Assist in route cost analysis and alternate route analysis to minimize cost and maximize vessel utilization

Proficiency in MS applications Excel / Word and Google Suite products
Advanced knowledge of pivot tables, and formulas in MS Excel
Strong business acumen
Required Minimum Years Experience :
2 industry experience and / or 1 function related experience preferred
Required Minimum Education :
Bachelor’s degree preferred
