Summary The Room Inspector supervises cleaning and inspects hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Assigns work to cleaning personnel and trains personnel in housekeeping duties.
Posts room occupancy records.
Adjusts guests' preferences regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
Writes requisitions for room supplies and furnishing renovation or replacements.
Reports need of room redecoration to Housekeeper.
Examines carpets, drams and furniture for stains, damage, or wear.
Checks and counts linens and supplies.
Record inspection results and notify cleaning personnel of inadequacies.

Supervisory Responsibility Directly supervises five or more Room Att pendants.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities following the instructions to perform the essential functions of this job, successfully training employees, working closely with the Executive Housekeeper on planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Work Environment This job operates in public and non-public areas, including guest rooms.
This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals.
The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise.
Physical Demands The physical demands described represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less.
The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and following written and oral instructions and procedures.
Position Type This is a full-time position, Non-Exempt.
Travel No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience Prior work experience.
Preferred Education and Experience Prior experience in a housekeeping or laundry position.
