The Role :
The Ocean Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in the naval architecture design and analysis of OPT products and systems.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design and analysis of OPT’s products that use wave, solar and / or wind power to support ocean-based systems.
- Carry out theoretical hydrostatic, hydrodynamic, and mooring analyses using commercial software.
- Prepare and document design specifications, data collection and analysis.
- Prepare technical reports to document the methodology and results of work performed.
- Assist with departmental documentation and administrative projects.
- Perform other tasks as required.
