Job Title: Beverage Bartender
Department: Beverage
Reports To: Beverage Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary:
To serve beverages to the members/guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, fruit and other necessary supplies based on a daily business projections. Working in a clean – as – you – go manner.
- Greets member/guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote drink and food specials, and ensure quality of drink recipes.
- Accurate check processing in point of sale system.
- Accountability for appropriate portions on all drinks served.
- Attend monthly meetings.
- Always represent the quality of The Ocean Reef Club in appearance, style, and attitude.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending experience is required.
- Previous experience with micros or any other pos system.
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
Language Skills
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.
Reasoning Ability:
The ability to carry out tasks and instructions whether written or verbal; being able to recognize signs of intoxication and cut-off if necessary.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
All appropriate food and federal and state licenses required for food and beverage managers. TIPS certification helpful.

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
