What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Revenue Management position at Ocean Reef Club?
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for meeting and exceeding ORC financial goals while achieving the highest levels of Member and their Guest’s satisfaction, quality of service, and compliance with ORC policies and procedures. This position recommends, implements, and monitors all aspects of Lodging Revenue and is responsible for the revenue budgets, forecasts, pricing, inventory, and projections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Forecasting: Prepare and distribute internal forecasts for staffing and financial planning
- Budgeting: Assist in development, implementation and monitoring the lodging revenue budgets
- Maximize Room Revenue: Maximize revenue and minimize expenses. Including but not limited to rate setting, competitive rate analysis, package plan development, and member promotions for club managed rentals
- Yield Management: Develop, maintain and update strategies, recommendations and rate quotations with the Sales and Reservations Team. Maintain real time availability and rates. Manage group room allocations to effectively maximize revenue and occupancy for the Inn and Vacation Rentals.
- Group Allocations: Provide sales team with group ceiling & MAR, manage inventory in Passkey and Visual One for Conference Groups
- Data Analysis: Extract and analyze group spend data to evaluate total spend performance and provide future benchmarks for prospective groups
- Conduct group audit checks to ensure Salesforce and the Property Management System (Visual One) are in balance.
- Audit the reservations team to ensure accuracy of rate quoting, restrictions and selling approach
- Strategize and execute promotions and packages for members. Partner with marketing and build packages in the Property Management System. Communicate offers to the Reservations Team and provide assistance and training when needed.
- Systems: Property Management (Visual One) expert and Passkey expert, while assisting with Salesforce
- Human Resources: Supervises the Reservations Manager and Agents within the department in order to attract, retain, and motivate associated; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication, and council as appropriate.
- Assist with yielding and effective inventory management for other revenue centers as needed.
- Produce adhoc reports and perform special projects as requested.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Experience with travel industry reservation systems and hotel property management systems required
- 2 years hospitality experience required
- Previous revenue management experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and reports required
Skills
- Ability to organize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in use of MS Excel, and MS Access, MS Word, or similar software
- Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis
- Ability to analyze reports and transfer data to other programs
- Excellent oral or written communication skills
- Understands revenue management theory and practice

Education and/or Experience
Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent education/experience. Three to five years of experience in a related position.
Language Skills
Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

Attendance, Appearance and Conduct:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.
Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional.
As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
