About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety and Quality Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for monitoring plant FSQA processes, managing process control and quality checks, evaluating quality reports, and implementing corrective measures as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor process control, raw and packaging materials, quality checks, and GMP compliance
- Analyze and evaluate various quality reports and trends, developing corrective actions and proactive plans as needed
- Provide training and coaching to assigned Quality Technicians and employees as required
- Provide leadership in an environment of continuous improvement to maximize operating efficiencies with adherence to all quality standards
- Interact with outside governmental agencies, USDA, FDA, and State Department of Agriculture, as directed or required
- Coordinate internal audit requirements as directed or required
- Responsible for creating/managing assigned budgets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field required
- 5 years food/beverage quality systems experience
- Ability to support a 24/7 operation
- Able to influence others in daily interactions
- Succesfully demonstrated interpersonal skills in dealing with employees at all levels
- Appropriate business management acumen
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent communications skills
