Do you enjoy working with children? Do you want to see the results of your efforts in the growth and development of someone in need of help? As an ABA Paraprofessional you will see your work making lives better and helping children to grow first-hand.
In this position you will work to implement the treatment and behavior support plans created by the supervising analyst, monitor the client's behavior, and work toward objectives and performance goals. Those interested will be considered for permanent positions as ABA Paraprofessionals in our clinic or home-based programs after this seasonal position is over. Paraprofessionals will work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (BCBA/LABA).

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older, must have a High School Diploma/GED and have 12 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Or an associate's degree in human, social, or an educational services discipline or a degree or certification related to behavior management with 6 months working with an individual with developmental disabilities
- Must be able to maintain various postures such as kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, and bending.
- Must be able to attend to basic needs including feeding, diapering, and toileting of a client.
- Bilingual (preferred)- please have oral and written fluency in English and either Portuguese, Spanish, or another language.
Job Duties:
- Conduct 1:1 therapy with the client under the supervision of the BCBA/LABA.
- Accurately record data on behaviors, goals and objectives and complete session notes.
- Assist the BCBA/LABA in preparing and organizing materials for the client.
- Attend required trainings.
- Must participate and support the client in different groups and activities.
- Through ABA principals, teach the various skills such as communication skills, social skills, transitional skills, self-help skills, safety skills, self-regulation skills and play skills.
- Follow the behavior support plan and skill acquisition programs.
- Additional related duties as assigned.
