Summer Camp Counselor

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will engage campers in various activities, foster their development, and ensure they have a memorable camp experience. Ideal candidates should have a passion for working with children and be committed to promoting positive values.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities and events.
• Plan, organize, and lead recreational and educational activities that promote teamwork and personal growth.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
• Provide guidance and support to campers in developing new skills.
• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all campers.
• Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Assist in the implementation of camp policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities.

Skills

• Experience working with children in settings such as camps, daycare, or classroom environments.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively support camper growth.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• First Aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
• Ability to educate campers through engaging activities while promoting Christian values.
• Previous babysitting or childcare experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children and adults alike.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 26 per week
