Picker/Order Filler Role
Ocean State Job Lot is a leading general merchandise retailer with a commitment to providing exceptional value and championing positive change in our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking store orders using Pallet Jacks, Stockpickers or Pump Jacks while meeting company standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Building shippable pallets of merchandise.
- Transporting pallets to shipping and wrapping them.
- Inspecting and signing out equipment daily.
Requirements:
- Ability to complete position-specific training and pass tests, including Powered Industrial Equipment training and licensing.
- Safely operating walk-behind, rider jacks, sweepers or battery change equipment.
- Basic math and English reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication.
- Time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks strategically.
Work Environment:
The warehouse environment is characterized by temperature extremes, noise, movement of conveyors and equipment, and other conditions associated with the operation of a high volume distribution center.
