Job Summary
We are seeking a Retail Sales/Team Member to join our team at Ocean State Job Lot. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for preparing merchandise for sale, maintaining store appearance, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by removing packaging, verifying prices, and ticketing items as needed.
- Perform ongoing recovery tasks throughout a shift, including collecting trash and compacting cardboard.
- Recover receiving areas and sales floor prior to the end of each shift.
- Merchandise fixtures and supplies from trucks and direct them to designated areas on the sales floor.
- Operate a cash register as needed and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
