Oceana Restaurant is seeking a Catering and Event Coordinator to join their events team.
Summary:
The Catering and Event Coordinator will assist with all apsects of event planning, ensuring a seamless experience for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Director of Events in planning a diverse range of events in Oceana’s multiple private rooms, café/bar area, and West Park Beer Garden
- Creating banquet event orders, menus, place cards, and other event paperwork as needed
- Answering calls and emails from prospective clients
- Providing site tours as needed
- Handling the administration for outside catering orders
- Assisting with office supply ordering
- Additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience:
1-3 years of hospitality experience preferred
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in OpenTable and Microsoft 365 Suite
- Experience with high end clientele
Compensation:
- $25 per hour ( generally a 40 hour work week from 10AM-6PMMonday-Friday, but might vary due to holidays etc.)
