Position Overview :
OCEANAIR, a leading global provider of international transportation logistics, is seeking an experienced Customs House Brokerage Entry Writer to streamline the customs process for our international operations. This person will be essential in ensuring a smooth clearance process, with a strong focus on compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of customs regulations and compliance requirements.
Major Duties & Responsibilities :
- Classify goods according to Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) clarification and valuation of merchandise
- Prepare entry documentation according to customs regulations for submission
- Clear goods through customs, work with government PGAs to arrange for the delivery of goods to the designated destination as per the client agreement
- Monitor and trace the location of goods
- Must have a proactive approach to staying current with industry changes and updates
- Utilize product database to document and request necessary documents
