Duties & Responsibilities
Some of your responsibilities will include :
- SCUBA diving up to 25 hours per week supporting EVA training for NASA’s Astronauts.
- Supporting commercial operations as required by program needs.
- Using Material Handling Equipment (MHE)..
- Operating lift bags.
- Providing minimal fabrication and repair of mockups and / or systems.
- Filling pressurized cylinders.
- Performing periodic facility maintenance.
- Completing facility clean-up in and out of the water.
- Performing various administrative tasks including daily timecards, e-mail correspondence, meetings, etc.
This is a great opportunity for both professional and casual certified divers with experience. This role will require some lifting (50-90 lbs.), standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and repetitive movement.A pre-employment swim test will be required as part of the selection process.
If selected for this position, the applicant will be required to pass a United States Government background check, Johnson Space Center approved dive physical and a NBL SCUBA diving evaluation.
