As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Oceania International's growth initiatives. Your primary focus will be identifying potential opportunities, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and contributing to strategies that expand our market presence. Main Responsibilities/Functions:
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential business opportunities, including new markets, clients, and partnerships, to support Oceania International’s growth.
- Relationship Building: Engage with prospective partners and clients to establish meaningful connections and build rapport to create long-term business opportunities.
- Revenue Support: Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing sales through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of business development activities and client interactions in the company’s CRM system.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and achievements to the leadership team.
- Trade Show Representation: Attend trade shows, expos, and industry events as a representative of the company to enhance brand visibility and generate new business leads.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, ideally within the e-commerce or retail sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM software and e-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working on a computer.
Occasional travel may be required.
