Oceanit is looking for a Deputy Director, Management Consulting to join our Engineering Consulting team. This role involves managing an enterprise of engineering and management consulting projects oriented towards a few key sponsors. Additional responsibilities include business development and client management/relations.
The ideal candidate is client-needs focused and possesses strong communication skills along with high emotional intelligence. This person will play a key role in client satisfaction, team capacity balancing, and global business growth efforts.
THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention by managing proposals, invoicing, and project updates. Direct analyses of programs, services, resources and costs and benefits to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of programs.
- Business Growth: Work with Director of Strategic Consulting on growing specific business initiatives with local and international clients. This involves initiating and cultivating sponsor relationships.
- Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including sales targets and KPIs, to ensure consistent progress toward goals. Responsible for the development of short and long-term goals and objectives.
- Capacity Balancing: Collaborate with operations teams to monitor team capacity and balance proposal schedules based on team workloads. Apply innovative and emerging methods, technologies and management practices to the operation of the organization and/or programs.
THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
- Must thrive with speaking and connecting with people. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be comfortable with cold calls to prospective clients.
- Must be able to balance tradeoffs between technical needs and business expectations of client.
- Reliably perform administrative tasks including client proposal development and creation and issuance of client invoices.
- Ability to close deals, and form strategic partnerships, and the ability to confidently say "no" when necessarily.
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of market trends and the ability to identify prospective projects and growth opportunities.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes.
- Demonstrated proactive approach and self-motivation in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
