Position Overview: Our Rehab Aides play a crucial in supporting our rehab nurses and therapists in providing top-quality rehabilitation treatment and patient care, adhering to facility, state, and federal regulations and guidelines. They work closely with our therapists and Director of Rehab to ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment while assisting in equipment setup and various other tasks.
Position Type: Full-time or Part Time
Key Responsibilities:
Assist therapists and Director of Rehab with equipment setup and cleaning.
Ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment.
Transport patients as needed.
Assist with patient activities.
Perform clerical duties to support therapy programs.
Work under direct supervision.
Utilize unscheduled time effectively to benefit the department, therapists, or patients.
Maintain a schedule to complete all assignments and treatments.
Engage with patients respectfully and appropriately.
Prepare patients for treatment by setting up equipment as directed by therapists.
Work with patients under therapist supervision.
Accurately and safely follow therapist directions.
Complete clerical tasks, such as filing, copying, and computer work, in a timely manner.
Conduct equipment inventory, updates, and deep cleanings and notify the supervisor of equipment and supply needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
CNA Certification Required by Location
Preferred Qualifications:
Healthcare experience
Associate degree or currently enrolled in a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP program, seeking healthcare experience while in school.
