What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Services Assistant position at Oceanside Unified?
The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. (The names of eligible candidates on the current list will be merged to the new list in accordance with final scores.) There are currently multiple position open at various sites. These positions are typically 3-.75-6 hour/day, 10-month position.
Under general supervision, to produce, distribute and serve a variety of foods in quantity, to maintain food service areas, facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition; to operate cash register and a computer terminal; and to provide service to students, school staff, and other customers. The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this classification would typically be acquired through graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate; experience in the serving and production of foods is desirable; or any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
