What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Manager - Mechanic position at Oceanview Landscape?
Responsibilities
- Capability and desire to do mechanical work on vehicles and equipment
- Maintain GPS and maintenance tracking software
- Maintaining and managing the company fleet: from all the company vehicles to small equipment
- Organize and continually update shop inventory
- Purchasing/ordering all necessary fleet and equipment maintenance items, and items for repairs
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Team member training on machine and equipment use
Qualifications and Skills:
- Good mechanical knowledge
- Advanced understanding of basic computer programs including Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and ability to learn software used by the company
- Knowledge of landscape equipment
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a high-energy environment
- Excellent communication skills - oral and written
- Must be confident, motivated, respectful, a team player, and have a positive attitude
