The Non-Agency Collateral Manager is responsible for managing the daily pipeline of collateral files to be shipped in accordance with master repurchase agreements, selling guidelines, contracts and/or mandatory commitments. This role plays a critical part in minimizing counterparty risk, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting broader capital markets objectives. The Non-Agency Collateral Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, meeting service level agreements, as well as for investigating and resolving document and data discrepancies with internal business partners and external vendors. The Non-Agency Collateral Manager will be the primary contact for our Custodians for loan acquisitions.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the receipt, review, tracking and imaging of incoming collateral documents.
- Manage the daily delivery of data and collateral documents to the document custodian in accordance with investor requirements.
- Manage obtainment of images from vendors and maintain tracking and reconciliation. Investigate and resolve exceptions cited by investors/document custodians to resolve document and data exceptions.
- Monitor, coordinate and prioritize pipelines and production levels of the Collateral Analyst team, direct assignment and workflows daily.
- Maintain an active pipeline, as required for Collateral Analysts while monitoring production SLAs.
- Act as point of contact for collateral document processes with document custodian, internal business partners and external vendors.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance collateral management processes to drive efficiency.
- Manage and monitor collateral statuses (wet, dry and exceptions) of the loans in pipeline to ensure optimal financing availability.
- Manage and report on aging loans in accordance with warehouse financing contractual requirements.
- Communicate with upstream and downstream business partners, facilitating the updating of loan-level data
- Assist department with special projects.
- Manage internal and external expectations on timelines, costs and processes.
- Help train new employees in the department.
- Act in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or three to five years related Secondary Marketing/Capital Markets Operations experience (i.e. Document Management, Document Custodian, Post Closing, etc.).
- Familiarity with Government Sponsored Entity (GSE) and Non-Agency guidelines, products and procedures.
- Working knowledge of current mortgage banking practices, particularly an understanding of shipping, custodial, warehouse and settlement processes and policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, including peers, management, clients, and outside counterparties.
- Self starter with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed
