This position plays a crucial role in providing administrative/clinical support to facilitate patient care delivery according to the nursing process. It also involves contributing to the monitoring of quality care by ensuring the efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
- Regularly rounds throughout the shift to identify issues that require administrative attention and ensures communication with relevant personnel.
- Effectively supervises and leads staff.
- Provides patient care based on physical, social, educational, safety, and related criteria, tailored to the age groups served in designated areas.
- Adjusts their behavior to meet the needs of diverse patient populations, including respecting patient confidentiality, introducing themselves appropriately, explaining procedures clearly, obtaining necessary permissions, and adapting communication styles.
- Performs additional tasks as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- Required: A registered nurse diploma.
- Preferred: An associate's degree in nursing.
- Required: Three years of experience as a registered nurse.
- Preferred: Experience as a critical care or charge nurse.
- Required: Current registration as a registered nurse in the state where you practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and CCRN certifications.
