This job independently provides analysis to an assigned area of business and organizes and manages special projects, including the analysis of service line growth initiatives. Serves as a direct resource to operational management and administrative leadership on strategic initiatives. Leads, trains, reviews, and validates work product of assigned departmental staff. Aids in identifying growth opportunities, risks, and trends using data analytic capabilities and provides actionable recommendations.
Education
Required - Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field.
Preferred - Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or other advanced degree.
Work Experience
Required - 3 years of experience in data analytics, trending, forecasting, modeling, and reporting.
Preferred - 3 years of experience in data analytics, trending, forecasting, modeling, and reporting in healthcare.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities (KSAs)
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.

- Participates in formation of system-wide strategic planning process and provides integrated analysis and actionable recommendations to support strategic growth.
- Supervises, organizes and manages special projects involving service line analysis including competitive demographics and mapping analysis.
- Leverages multiple data sources to mine, combine, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of data to support strategic opportunities and drive growth and maintains and validates databases and data sources.
- Produces standard daily, weekly, and/or monthly reporting packages to support service lines and/or other system growth initiatives and responds to ad hoc reporting requests and answers questions from users of the departmental reports.
- Assists in system-wide strategic planning process for service line growth initiatives using various data sources including inpatient discharges, claims, demographics and mapping software.
- Performs other related duties as required.
