Develops and drafts press releases, media pitches and advertorial content; tracks and analyzes media coverage /results; creates and updates media lists; maintains the online newsroom and creates strong professional relationships with local media.

Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.
Work Experience

- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.

- Working knowledge of social media (blogs, Facebook, Twitter). Knowledge of working media.

Job Duties
- Initiates, develops and drafts press materials and assist with media inquiries for company locations as needed.
- Assists with public relations-driven social media and internal communication initiatives.
- Assists in managing media-related specials events including disaster relations.
- Performs media tracking and analysis of company stories and local competitors.
- Supports strategic local media initiatives outside of traditional media pitching.
