Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the oversight of all day-to-day operational activities of the department
- Maintains personal connections with guests, clients and community organizations to encourage guest loyalty
- Assists in supervising team members with efforts relating to recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, performance management, counseling and other team member relations issues
- Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform any position in the department
- Prepares foods according to specifications and quality standards established in recipes and procedures
- Prepares equipment and food based on forecasted needs and events
- Maintains working knowledge of all kitchen machinery operations
- Maintains updated knowledge related to current menu options, preparation methods and techniques, and ingredients
- Maintains inventory controls and dates all incoming products
- Assists in monitoring and upholding policies and procedures for safety of guests and team members
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department
- Assists team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
