THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND

We’re looking for detail-oriented and empathetic people to join our marketing team as Practice Liaison. As a Practice Liaison, you will be responsible for building and maintaining vital referral relationships to maintain a healthy flow of new patients to the practice; increase practice revenue; pursue and establish preferred provider relationships for premium Cataract, Lasik, Glaucoma, Diabetic care and other service lines. These referral relationships include but are not limited to Optometrists, Optical Dispensaries, Primary Care Physicians, Urgent Care Facilities, Endocrinology and other medical professionals.

OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU

  • Servicing Western Pennsylvania
  • Responsible for organizing and managing the practice’s referral outreach efforts, including:
  • all optometric and other referring provider relations
  • facilitating co-management relationships with outside eye care providers for Cataract and LASIK surgery while working with Surgical Coordinators and appropriate team members
  • Visits a minimum of six referral sources per dedicated outreach day per week and meets target lead goals set by supervisor
  • Coordinate all continuing education functions for the practice referral sources.
  • Arranges provider participation
  • Coordinates and obtains course credit approvals with appropriate Optometry boards
  • Creates and maintains registration website and attendee database for Optometric events
  • Coordinates with venues and appropriate vendors to ensure successful events.
  • Coordinates open house events for new OCLI locations
  • Provides ongoing educational support to referral sources about OCLI’s doctors and surgeons, professional services offered, and general practice policies.
  • Communicate with the OCLI staff to ensure proper communication and follow-up with referral sources.
  • Organizes staff trainings as needed to implement updated processes and procedures
  • Communicates on a regular basis with supervisor, clinic location management, providers, COO and CEO through written status reports, designed by the outreach coordinator and approved by supervisor.
  • Maintains a database with pertinent information regarding referral sources of the practice and referral patterns of each individual.
  • Oversees practice’s competitor involvement in community events, continuing education offerings and changes in referral patterns as a result of competition efforts.
  • Represent practice at various practice related events including educational dinner meetings, health fairs and community events
  • Creates, coordinates and implements the use of referral materials
  • Develops, and implements referral materials that best fit the needs of our referral partners.
  • Identifies and coordinates input from clinic locations within practice as determined appropriate.
  • Revises and refines materials by coordinating with marketing agency and appropriate staff to come to a final product.
  • Coordinates with agency and appropriate team members to create new materials based on practice needs
  • Monitors use, report use and trends to supervisor
  • Routinely reviews and updates Practice’s website and referring partner portal to ensure information on the practice site is timely and fully covers all practice offerings and upcoming events
  • Coordinates and implements the Practice’s participation with Community groups and associated networks
  • Communicates with associated networks and community groups to collaborate in provider and patient facing efforts
  • Coordinates provider involvement in speaking engagements and vision screening opportunities
  • Develops a series of specific events and seminars in accordance with the marketing plan for the practice.

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; including business-related courses (a marketing emphasis preferred) or five years related experience and/or training in a marketing, professional relations, or communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A general knowledge of current ophthalmology practices, concepts and procedures preferred, with one to two years of ophthalmic/optometric practice experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to read, interpret and write reports and business correspondence.
  • Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, referral sources, representatives from professional and community organizations, groups of employees, managers, administrators and physicians.
  • Proficiency with general computer skills required including Access, Publisher, Excel and Word. Proficiency with database management software such as ACT required. Ability to learn the NextGen Practice Management System.

Salary : $60,000 - $63,000
