What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Ocmulgee Physicians?
Responsibilities:
- Perform blood sampling and phlebotomy procedures on patients
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood collection process
- Follow proper laboratory techniques and protocols for specimen handling and processing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Provide excellent patient service and care throughout the phlebotomy process
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations
- Adhere to all relevant clinical laboratory policies, procedures, and regulations
Experience:
- Minimum of [2] years of experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
- Proficient in blood sampling techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with vital sign measurements and patient care protocols
Skills:
