What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Distribution Assistant position at OCO Default Branding?
Full-time - 30 hours/week with flexibility required
Grade 11
Monday through Friday – 8:00 am to 2:30 pm
JOB SUMMARY:
Assists with distribution operations by ensuring meals are packed and collated accurately according to daily lists. Responsible for building cleaning tasks. Carries out duties in accordance with Agency policies and Federal, State and Local regulations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives daily lists showing number of meals needed for meal delivery routes.
- Works with production staff on meal assembly line and ensures the proper number of meals are packed in route coolers.
- Loads meal route coolers on to carts for distribution staff for daily deliveries and ensures that all supplies and paperwork are sent along as well.
- Performs quality assurance to insure proper temperature of foods during collating.
- Assists Distribution Supervisor with transport of Agency Vehicles for maintenance and other purposes.
- Follows dress and sanitation codes.
- Fills in on meal delivery routes as needed.
- Provides assistance and guidance to substitute drivers in the absence of regular drivers.
- Reports related incidents or concerns to appropriate Agency staff.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Works within policies, procedures and program regulations.
- Washes, sanitizes and maintains all distribution related items/equipment.
- Works independently to complete daily checklist of cleaning tasks; routine tasks:
- Maintains all floors and empties trash.
- Cleans sinks toilets, and bathroom floors daily.
- Maintains adequate supplies for bathrooms: paper towels, toilet tissue and garbage bags; notifies supervisor of the need to replenish cleaning inventory.
- Empties office trash weekly.
- Performs other miscellaneous cleaning tasks as assigned to assure the sanitation and beautification of the NS kitchen.
- Communicates with the supervisor and program staff to assure supplies and other needs are conveyed.
Other:
- Uses computer for basic purposes such as reading Agency information/email, filling out basic forms and working with inventory.
- Works independently to complete routine tasks; performs other reasonably related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must follow food service regulations including NYS Sanitation Codes.
- Must be able to work independently and follow instructions to complete daily checklist.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding program and client information.
- Must be able to read and correctly interpret lists and information and carry out duties accordingly.
- Must have basic computer skills or be willing to learn and demonstrate skills.
- Must exhibit a professional demeanor in the workplace and be able to communicate effectively within the work team.
- Must be a good role model and help ensure a setting which fosters teamwork and cooperation.
- Must display good judgment and organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs. or more regularly and be flexible with duties and work schedule to meet program needs.
- Must have a valid NYS Driver's License with driving record within Agency policy; must maintain OCO Driving Certification for Agency and personal vehicles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.; and
- 3 months or more of paid or life related experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Access to reliable transportation required.
