About This Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our After School team as Peer Mentors/Youth Support Specialists. As part of this dynamic team, you will work closely with youth after school hours, providing guidance, support, and activities that foster academic excellence, social competence, and community responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct services to peers, modeling positive behaviors and assisting in skill-building efforts
* Assist in assessing and addressing the needs of program youth
* Guide youth in decision-making processes and facilitate group activities
* Encourage youth participation and assist in planning and executing group events
* Participate in community activities and maintain positive relationships with local organizations
Requirements:
* Must be between the ages of 16 and 19 years old and reside within the Fulton City School District
* Demonstrate maturity, enthusiasm for working with school-age youth, and ability to maintain confidentiality
* Possess good communication skills and be able to follow directions
* Display flexibility and self-motivation, with a willingness to learn and grow
Additional Information:
This is a part-time position with varying schedules across three different shifts.
