What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermediate Special Education Paraprofessional position at Oconomowoc Area School District?
We are seeking a fun, engaging and energetic person who has patience and compassion for assisting students in their learning, relationships, and getting them to engage with others.
This paraprofessional opening is at Silver Lake Intermediate School for 5.75 hours/day. 5.25 hours of the day would be with Special Education students and .5 hours of the day would be supervision hours. The hours would be 7:45am-1:30pm. As a part time position, this would not be eligible for benefits.

Special Education paraprofessionals may offer our students support through
1 to 1 tutoring and classroom support
behavioral support through breaks, strategies, and observations
self care and personal health support
executive functioning support in learning how to manage their own activities of daily living, organization, and time management
Assisting in transitions from class to class
Paraprofessionals are an integral and crucial part of our school, they are the staff that help ensure we are able to provide our students the best support, education, and opportunity for success that we can offer. Those interested should be patient, calm, and willing to help students find their voice and manage their academic and emotional needs. This position is a school year position with days off when kids are out of school. Summer school opportunities may be available.
