Overview

Genesee Lake School, a MyPath company, is a nationally recognized employee-owned provider of educational, vocational, and therapeutic residential services. These programs support adolescents, teenagers and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, and complex trauma. As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

• Ensure safety and security, providing supervision at all times.
• Instruct and assist students in carrying out their daily living activities, including self-care management and developing social, communication, and emotional regulation skills.
• Assist in the classroom by providing guidance and acting as a role model for students.
• Manage behavior of our students.
• Demonstrate proactive, appropriate, and effective interactions with students while maintaining self-control during crisis interventions.

Qualifications

• Must be least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
• Must be available to work a schedule that will consist of both first and second shifts, every other weekend, double shifts, and a holiday rotation
• A valid Wisconsin driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred

Schedule & Benefit Information

• This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position that requires availability to work both 1st and 2nd shift, as well as alternating weekends, double shifts, and a holiday rotation.

Additional Information

Pay range: $19-20/hour starting
