What You Will Do : Job Summary :

As a Surgical Technologist, you will function as the scrub person during invasive and operative procedures. Under the direct supervision of an RN or physician, you will facilitate a physician's performance of therapeutic, diagnostic, and invasive procedures. You will ensure the operating room is safe, equipment is functioning, and patient safety is maximized throughout the procedure.

Key Responsibilities :

First Scrub : Prepare and maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and anticipate needs during surgeries.

Support : Act as second assisting technologist and contribute to all surgical case preparations (skin prep, sterile draping, etc.).

Safety & Readiness : Ensure the operating room is safe, all equipment is functioning, and procedures are performed under the highest standards of aseptic technique.

Learning & Growth : Meet ST II requirements, complete annual learning activities, and mentor new employees or students.

Team Collaboration : Actively participate in performance improvement efforts and support department efficiency.

Anticipation : Proactively address needs during cases and contribute to team success.

What You Will Need :

Education : Associate's Degree. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (CST) preferred or equivalent military training.

Experience : Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital operating room setting.

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire

AST membership preferred

Experience (or interest) in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferred
