THE JOB / Account Trainee, Sponsorships (Payment Services Client)
CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.
We’re looking for a motivated and driven Account Trainee to support the management of sponsorship and partnership assets for various client programs. This entry-level position provides an exciting opportunity to assist in the execution of global partnerships across multiple passion verticals, including sports, entertainment, music, and lifestyle. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the industry and demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting the team. With responsibilities that include asset tracking, reporting, and client support, this role offers an excellent foundation for professional growth within the dynamic world of sponsorships and partnerships. The position requires a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to take initiative and solve problems independently as needed.
THE WORK YOU’LL DO
- Act as an agency contact for client sponsorship, internal departments, and agency partners, under the guidance of more senior team member
- Assist with the organization and tracking of sponsorship assets and ensure timely usage and delivery across global ambassadors and properties
- Support the creation of reports, presentations, and documents, including but not limited to quarterly reports, property research, and competitor landscape summaries
- Help manage and track requests for contractual assets and support with asset utilization documentation
- Assist with the upkeep and management of the online systems used to upload, track, and lead ambassador asset utilization
- Provide support to system users, assisting in resolving basic issues and raising more complex concerns
- Collaborate on creating reports and other deliverables, ensuring accuracy and clarity
- Support the team in organizing and managing ambassador and property information across client portfolios
- Keep track of cultural moments and trends within sports, entertainment, music, gaming, and lifestyle sectors
- Aid in various other administrative tasks as required by senior team members

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A strong work ethic and the initiative to proactively support team efforts and take on new tasks
- A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for sports, entertainment, gaming, music, or celebrity and lifestyle culture
- Some experience or internship in account management or client services, ideally within sports, entertainment, or related industries (0-1 years)
- A self-starter with a willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
- An eagerness to assist in creating high-quality work and reports, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to handle basic administrative tasks and support multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- A positive, proactive attitude, and the ability to contribute to team efforts with a “no job is too small” mentality
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)
This position pays minimum wage and is overtime-eligible.
