What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at OCTAL Extrusion Corp?
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively with Electrical, Electronic and Communications partners and customers.
- Use common tools.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment per machine service instructions or plant equipment schedule during assigned production shift.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during assigned production shift, and when “on call.”
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Repairs and re-builds a variety of production and processing equipment. Performs machine maintenance duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematics and blue prints to perform required maintenance and service.
- Comply with all OSHA Safety and Health rules and wears personal protective equipment at all times as required.
- All other duties assigned by management.
