Job Title: Pathology Blood Banking Transfusion Physician
We are seeking a highly skilled Pathology Blood Banking Transfusion Physician to join our team at Octapharma Plasma Inc. as a Contract Pathologist with Blood Banking experience.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring donor suitability, product integrity, and the continued good health of donors through compliance with FDA regulations and our Donor Center SOP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee LPN/RN performing tasks related to plasma donor suitability, including review of medical health histories, plasmapheresis procedure, and informed consent.
- Review donor treatment and suitability following adverse events related to plasmapheresis.
- Provide training for donor center medical personnel, including Physician Substitutes and other Physicians.
- Review lab results and exercise independent judgment to determine donor suitability.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a licensed medical or osteopathic school.
- Licensed in the state in which the center operates.
- Board certified Pathologist with Blood Banking Experience based on state requirements.
- Available for phone calls during the hours that the center is open.
